General Grazing Land

GENERAL GRAZING LAND

Description

Two areas within the Capital City District (Urban) have been designated for dairying purposes — the area on the west side of the Hombolo Lake and the area on the east side of the Nzinge Swamp. Both are particularly suited for this purpose.

Policies

The two above-mentioned areas should be strictly reserved for dairying purposes. Farmer's houses and buildings and facilities related to dairying should be permitted, but other unrelated types of development should be excluded.

The dairying areas should be improved where possible by means of erosion control measures and, if necessary, irrigation.
